Alice Springs Laboratory Manager / Branch Manager

When you step into this role, you'll be the one ensuring that our Alice Springs Laboratory is running at optimum performance and productivity levels. Your management influence will be far-reaching, from the performance of each individual technician, to overseeing financials, liaising with clients to solve complex problems and even recruiting and training new staff.

With so much variety in your role, every day will be different - but, at a pinch, a day in your life might involve:

  • Directly managing the Alice Springs Laboratory for both the Field & Laboratory testing
  • Working with your Leadership team to ensure the technical competence & control of the Laboratory
  • Actively pursuing new clients and building new business
  • Liaising with clients to deliver the best outcome for their project & HiQA

You'll be thankful for your Geotechnical knowledge, an inherent necessity when it comes to coaching and mentoring your team. You'll also need experience in budgeting, superb customer service and negotiation skills and a flair for time management to be comfortable in this role.

Alice Springs Administration Assistant 

We're looking for a talented, hardworking Administration Assistant to join our Alice Springs based team. This is a diverse role with a capital D! You will man the reception desk, meet and greet clients, file documents, prepare reports, support our finance team, data entry.... you get the idea! Because of the varied nature of the role, multitasking must come naturally to you! We are looking for someone who demonstrates a high level of accuracy, alertness, attention to detail and is able to work effectively within a team environment.

You will be comfortable thinking on your feet and a confident problem solver. You will have prior admin experience, know your way around a computer including Excel and have an impeccable phone manner. Knowledge of MYOB would be an advantage. This is a part-time casual position offering 30 hours per week of work!

Darwin Field Coordinator / Senior Soil Technician

If you're passionate about testing and training in equal measure, you're going to love this role, which will see you overseeing both. With revenue in mind, you'll use your excellent communication skills to maintain all existing client relationships, all the while ensuring that we maintain our high standards of accuracy. You'll find ways to assist your team to become more productive, adapting workflow, coaching and mentoring where necessary.
