CCFNT First Year Apprentice of the Year

Congratulations Dean Ayson for winning the Civil Construction Federation Northern Territory (CCFNT) First Year Apprentice of the Year Award at the recent 2020 Earth and Training Awards evening held in Darwin.

Dean was a popular figure at the event after making his way to the stage prematurely, thinking he had won when his name was announced as a finalist! Luckily, his name was called a second time as the category winner where he leapt back up on stage to collect his award!

Originally from the Philippines, Dean and his family have been living in Darwin since 2009. In 2019, Dean became an Aussie citizen which gave him the opportunity to study a Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques and become a trainee at HiQA. Growing up Dean had a dream to be involved in the construction industry and hopes to be an Engineer one day.

Already a key player for HiQA in our Darwin Branch (with his infectious smile😁), Dean loves being onsite giving the ‘Yes’ experience to our clients. A strong family man, he is also keen to work in our remote sites to help out HiQA’s Project Team when required.

Well done Dean!
