Congratulations to Newton Roddenby from our Katherine Laboratory who recently won Indigenous Trainee of the year at the Civil Construction Federation Northern Territory (CCFNT) Earth and Training Awards.
There were two finalists in this category with runner up Colin Mackander also representing HiQA Geotechnical from our Darwin Laboratory.
Newton is a community minded family man which makes him a great fit for HiQA and the Katherine Team.
Newton began working with HiQA in 2017 and has since completed a Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques. He excels in his role as a field technician which takes him all over the Territory to some of the best fishing our river systems have to offer.
We are very proud of Newton’s achievements at work and with his studies. He is a shining example to his colleagues, family, and community. On the construction site clients are always praising his helpful, can do attitude.
