HiQA trainees took home numerous awards at the 2019 CCFNT Trainee & Apprentice Awards this year. HiQA nominated three of our technicians for the 2019 Trainee and Apprentice Awards. Each award required the nominee to be a resident of the Territory and completed or enrolled in a vocational education training course between 1 July 2018 and 30 June 2019.
Sugam Suwal and Alfredo Munoz Cepeda, now Senior Technicians in our Darwin Branch, were finalists in the First Year Apprentice of the Year Award. Sugam and Alfredo enrolled during the required period and both had completed 80% (20 out of 25 units) of their qualification in Certificate III in Civil Construction. Alfredo was the winner of the First Year Apprentice of the Year Award.
Harry Nicholson, now a Senior Technician in our Alice Springs Branch, was a finalist for the NT Mature Age Achiever Award. This award required the trainee to have began their vocational education and training course at 21 years old or older.
Harry devoted time to finish his Certificate III in Civil Construction and Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques within 18 months. This dedication proved why Harry was the clear winner of the Rae Snodgrass Apprentice of the Year!
Congratulations Sugam, Alfredo and Harry. Your ‘Hard Work’ provided the ‘Results’ you deserve!
